FAQ
Benefits

As we age our skin starts to deplete in collagen and elastin, combined with lifestyle and environmental factors, you may notice changes such as lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, age spots, creppy looking skin and dry skin. Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that involves microneedling and / or superfine injections using a combination of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts into the skin to rejuvenate and tighten it, as well as remove excess fat. Mesotherapy has many benefits and can improve: • Premature skin ageing • Scaring and acne scars • Stretch marks • Reduce the appearance of cellulite • Hyperpigmentation • Age spots • Acne • Large pores • Hair loss • Fine lines and wrinkles • Tightening of the skin • Skin rejuvenation
Side Affects

After your mesotherapy treatment, your skin will be red and flushed in appearance. If you choose to have the superfine injections you may see little lumps under the skin, that resolve normally within a few hours. You may experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on the area being treated. This will diminish greatly after a few hours following treatments and within the next 24 hours the skin will be completely healed. Side-effects after mesotherapy treatments are extremely low. The only side effects can include some redness, bruising and swelling that resolves quickly.
Aftercare

You will be provided with a full aftercare sheet to help you care for, and maintain, your skin after your treatment. Following our aftercare plan, will ensure you get the best results for as long as possible After your mesotherapy treatment, you may experience dry, dull or flaky skin up to 7 days post treatment. Your skin on your face will be more sensitive to sun exposure. During your treatment you will have sunscreen applied to protect your skin, you will need to ensure that you apply sunscreen, at least SPF 30, every time you go outside (even if its cloudy), for at least 2 weeks. Make sure you cleanse your skin daily, using only water or a very mild facial cleanser, and then pat your face dry, rather than rubbing it. Your regime should also include using a moisturiser and/or serum that is rich in hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. In addition to sunscreen, we recommend the following aftercare advice: Do not apply makeup for 24-48 hours Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 days Avoid extreme heat or cold for at least 3 days Avoid saunas, sunbeds, hot tubs and chlorinated pools for 3 days Avoid exercise, or getting sweaty for 24 hours Do not exfoliate or use facial scrubs for at least 1 week
How long do the
results last for?

A difference will be noticeable within a few hours but the skin will continue to improve for weeks afterwards. A repeat treatment is recommended between 7 days and 4 weeks, depending on your skin condition, with a minimum course of 3 treatments to get the most benefit, although it can be continued as part of your regular skin care regime.
Who should avoid Mesotherapy?

Do I need to prepare?

Before your Mesotherapy experience, we would recommend for you to; Avoid sun exposure for 1 week prior to your treatment Ensure your skin is free from any makeup or skincare products Stop using exfoliating or home facial products for at least 3 days prior
Does the procedure hurt?

Mesotherapy involves the use of a microneedling pen which contains tiny microneedles that penetrate the skin. You can so choose to have some superfine microneedle injections in the targeted areas. It can feel a bit “nippy” but for most it isnt painful. For those that find it uncomfortable, we can apply some lidocaine topical numbing cream to help take the “sting” away
